Teaching release trains without freezing innovation

Release trains fail when every carriage must arrive perfectly on time. We introduce intentional slack carriages—empty slots reserved for defect burn-down and docs. That slack absorbs variance without pushing teams into silent overtime.

We also calendar freezes around Seollal and Chuseok with explicit restart dates. Everyone sees the same calendar artifact, linked from the portal homepage. Ambiguity breeds rumor; clarity breeds patience.

Finally, we connect trains to telemetry. Each departure lists the telemetry dashboards that must be green—not every dashboard, only the three agreed as authoritative for that train. Narrowing focus prevents rubber-stamping.
